Roof Leak Repair
We find where the water actually gets in, then fix that, not the stain.

Alameda County's south end, Fremont, Newark and Union City, is a short hop from the San Jose office; its north end, Oakland and Berkeley, is closest to the San Francisco head office. The county's housing is older than the national average, and its hills carry some of the Bay Area's most serious fire history.

What we treat
Quick answer. Roof Doctor covers Alameda County from both offices: Fremont, Newark, Union City, Hayward, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore. Expect repair-first recommendations on older roofs and Class A assemblies on hillside re-roofs.
Alameda County
The median home in Alameda County was built in 1969, more than a decade before the national median of 1981. In Hayward, San Leandro and the older parts of Fremont and Oakland, that means many roofs are well into their second covering and some of the original decking and flashings have never been touched. We look at the attic and the deck before recommending a replacement, and price repairs first where a repair will hold.
Alameda County
Fremont's City Council approved its updated very high fire hazard severity zone map on July 15, 2025, and the city has had a wildland-urban interface ordinance since 2007. Homes along the hills above Mission San Jose and Niles, and in the canyons toward Sunol, are where Class A re-roofs and ember-resistant vents are required or wise, and where we check the parcel's zone before quoting.
Alameda County
The 1991 Oakland Hills firestorm, driven by Diablo winds, destroyed 2,843 single-family homes and 437 apartment and condominium units. Hillside neighborhoods from Montclair to the Berkeley hills rebuilt with that lesson in mind, and re-roofs there today should hold to the same standard: Class A coverings, metal flashing, screened vents and gutters kept clear before fire season. Our Oakland page covers the city in more detail.
